FLIGHTS OF FANTASY
HAND-MADE DOLLS BY ALICE LYNCH

Fashion designer and illustrator Alice Lynch is exhibiting a collection of her bizarre hand-made circus dolls during Somerset Art Week in the home and studios of her parents, painters James and Kate Lynch.

"My dolls tell stories from beyond the reaches of conscious thought. These little stitched characters come from the underworld of dreams - bird woman who drops dreams into children's sleep, a mischievous magpie man, a pair of Siamese twins taking it in turns to be King, an elf princess and a wolf child who comes from never never land"

Alice Lynch trained at Kingston University in London and has been working as a fashion designer in Paris for two years. Her dolls have been commissioned by UK designers and were on exhibition earlier this year in Paris. This is the first time she has shown them in England.
