Monika Miller

Graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in  Warsaw in 2005 with a distinction from the Head of the Academy for best diploma in 2004/2005. She took part in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Among her highest awards are:
1997/1998 - Prime Minister’s Scholarship Award
1999 - Ministry of Culture Artistic Scholarship Award
2004 - First Prize in the International Drawing Workshop in Florence,  Italy
“Monika Miller reads the world through the vision of man which consists of personal experience but also of historical and cultural awareness. In her interpretations of human figures she refers to symbols functioning throughout the ages; in this way they become carriers of ideas, meanings and myths. The individual memory and memory of humanity are Monika Miller’s two most important currents which are able to defy passing away. My art is an attempt at capturing sensitivity, intensification of the human shape, finding crispness in image, expressing in one movement a whole range of feelings.
