Taunton Deane Borough Council has commissioned a Connectivity + Legibility Study to create guidance to improve and enhance way-finding and ensure a coordinated approach to public art across Taunton town centre. Sue Palmer has been appointed as lead artist to work with public art adviser Diana Hatton.
'Reveal' is a working partnership between Brewhouse Visual Arts, Somerset Art Works and Somerset Film - all members of Somerset Art Promoters and Thrive Somerset. 'Reveal' aims to raise the profile of visual arts and media across the county by active collaboration. 'Reveal' welcomes participation from all.
Triparks was set in three different rural places, defined by political boundaries: Dartmoor, Exmoor and Northumberland National Parks.

Encouraging sustainable and safe ways to travel to school through visual arts

Michael Fairfax is the lead artist on the Blackdown Hills Neroche Landscape Project hosted by the Forestry Commission. He helped to formulate a Creative Arts Strategy. He looked at ways of utilising the materials from the deforestation programme, and how artists can record the changes occuring on the Blackdown Hills over the next twenty five years.
Countryside organisations are not always particularly inspired in the way they try and convey facts about the landscape.
